We are actively seeking an Treasury Assistant to join our offices in Elefsina.

The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day treasury and cash management activities of the company, ensuring accurate bank reconciliations, monitoring cash movements, and assisting with the management and collection of outstanding receivable

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update daily bank account transactions and ensure accurate recording of cash movements.
  • Perform regular bank account reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with daily cash flow management and liquidity monitoring.
  • Reconcile customer account balances and follow up on outstanding receivables to support timely collections.
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess creditworthiness and support effective credit risk management.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, identify overdue balances, and communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer balances, collections, and payment status.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and controls related to treasury operations, receivables, and credit risk management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues and facilitate timely collections.
  • Prepare regular reports on cash balances, bank reconciliations, receivables, collections, credit checks, and overall treasury activities for management.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and negotiating with clients
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess risks and make informed recommendations
  • Ability to tactfully persuade clients and negotiate repayment plans
  • ERP systems experience (e.g., F&O, Navision, SAP)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Advanced business writing and oral communication skills in both Greek and English

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections within the preferably in logistics industry
