Join Auckland Council’s Group Treasury team as a Treasury Accountant and play a key role in supporting treasury accounting and financial reporting across a complex, high-impact organisation.
Reporting through to the Group Treasury Accountant, this is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong technical foundation and a keen interest in treasury and financial markets to build specialist expertise.
Working closely with experienced finance leaders, you’ll contribute to the accounting and reporting of financial instruments, support the preparation of important disclosures, and help ensure Auckland Council continues to meet its reporting obligations to a high standard.

You’ll bring a strong eye for detail, sound analytical skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines with confidence.
Comfortable working with technical accounting matters, you’ll enjoy solving problems, improving processes and producing accurate, high-quality work. This role will suit someone who communicates well, has a genuine interest in treasury and financial markets, and is motivated to keep building their knowledge of accounting standards in a complex public sector environment.
