Overview
Travel Surgical Tech role in a hospital setting in Watertown, NY, starting 06/15/2026 for a 13-week assignment. The position offers 40 guaranteed hours per week with a daytime 8x5 shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm). Weekly pay ranges from $1,879 to $1,981 per week. This assignment requires weekend, call, and holiday coverage and may involve precepting newer staff as needed.

Responsibilities
- Function under the direct supervision of an RN; assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient per department standards and policies
- Perform scrub duties and provide precise, efficient responses to intraoperative situations; assist with delegated duties and departmental tasks
- Maintain a sterile field, ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of operating room equipment and instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during procedures, anticipate needs, and coordinate with team to optimize workflow and safety
- Support preoperative and postoperative preparation, including room turnover and instrumentation readiness
- May precept or mentor new staff; arrive within 30 minutes of being called in

Requirements
- Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT certification required (must be certified)
- Experience: Prior travel assignment experience strongly preferred
- Specialty experience: Orthopedic (Ortho) surgery, scrubbing experience, and DaVinci robotic assistance experience
- Additional credentials: BLS required; approved pharmacology course or demonstrated medication administration experience with successful medications exam
- Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning/sterilization and disinfection processes for operating room instrumentation
- Availability: Flexible to work weekends, call, and holidays as required by the role
- Eligibility: Must be able to work in the listed setting and comply with hospital policies
