Job Shift: DayTravel Sports Intern: Summer 2026: Part Time/Seasonal
Location: Lakeland Hills YMCA in Mountain Lakes, NJ
Schedule: June 22 – August 14, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Ages Served: 4th–7th Grade
Essential Functions
- Facilitate all activities for your group: morning drills and games, trip logistics, lunch, group time, hobby time, theme days, etc.
- Travel with the group to various sporting venues in the morning and implement the curriculum when necessary.
- Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children, and staff. Models’ relationship-building skills in all interactions.
- Work with group of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience.
- Cooperate with the Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, Activity Leaders, and all fellow staff.
- Greet campers upon arrival.
- Additional help where needed when asked to by the Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, and/or Activity Leaders.

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Entering first year of college or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children
- Athletic background and coaching experience
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to obtain
- Energetic, dependable, and adaptable
