Travel RN Medical / Surgical (Waterloo, IA)

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Shift/Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (36 hours per week)

Pay/Compensation: $54.34 to $56.34 per hour

About the Role

A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking a Travel RN, Medical / Surgical, for its general medical unit in Waterloo. You will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate care with the full team. This 90-day assignment is on the night shift.

Assignment Details

• Contract assignment, 90 days with possible extension
• Work setting: onsite
• Openings: 1
• Anticipated start: immediate start

Core Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (telemetry or medical / surgical)
• Active RN license valid in Iowa (confirmed during screening)
• Strong assessment and time management skills
• Ability to work 3 night shifts per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Telemetry experience
• Epic or similar charting system experience
• Travel or contract assignment experience
• Strong references from recent nurse managers
