Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Mount Clemens, Michigan, United States. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,563–$1,624 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM–7:00 AM). Setting: inpatient acute care clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients across emergency, intensive, and other care areas requiring pulmonary and cardiopulmonary therapies, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation and monitoring.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, monitor patient response, adjust ventilator settings as appropriate, and manage related diagnostic testing and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain respiratory care equipment, respond to alarms, and participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform diagnostic testing such as ABGs and EKGs as indicated, interpret results, and communicate findings with the care team.
- Document care provided in the patient record, ensure patient safety and infection control standards, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
- Provide patient and family education related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions and therapies; participate in rounds and care planning as needed.

Requirements
- Active Michigan state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT required; CRT accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NBRC
- Experience: 2+ years of RRT experience required
- Ventilator management and EKG familiarity required
- Travel experience preferred; willing to work in a travel assignment
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend (Fri/Sat)
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting and adapt to a fast-paced environment
