Overview
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) travel assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. Start date 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with nights (12-hour) shifts. Weekly pay range: $1,862–$1,999 per week. Work setting: hospital.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plan of care within the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons about respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge, ensuring understanding.
- Accept reassignment to other units as needed to meet department needs.
- Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a clinical role model.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care; provide therapy as ordered by the physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.
- Coordinate with the medical and nursing teams to ensure safe, effective delivery of respiratory care and appropriate documentation.

Requirements
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Active Illinois license to practice Respiratory Therapy; RRT credential
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- BLS certification
- NRP-MHC certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in every-other-weekend on-call schedule
