Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – Burlington, VT – Travel assignment starting 07/13/2026 for approximately 13 weeks, 3x12-hour night shifts. Weekly pay: $2,334-$2,542. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Work in an inpatient acute care setting with teaching hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies across NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and general inpatient units as needed.
- Manage ventilated patients, including initiation, adjustment, and weaning of mechanical ventilation; perform airway management and clearance procedures.
- Assess respiratory status, document findings, and respond to changes in patient condition; interpret arterial blood gases as indicated.
- Administer medications via inhalation routes; troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure infection control and patient safety.
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record and participate in rounds with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; must be RRT, not CRT
- NBRC verification required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching-hospital setting experience required; Epic experience within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with weekends as needed; no block schedules
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended
