Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist in Norfolk, Virginia. Start date: 06/23/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility setting. Weekly pay range: $1,575–$1,666 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with every other weekend. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and treatments per physician orders (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulized medications) for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory status; document findings and respond to changes in condition.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure device safety and infection control standards are met.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to update care plans and ensure appropriate interventions.
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory care, inhalation therapies, and device use.
- Document all care activities accurately in resident records and adhere to facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Virginia Respiratory Therapist license.
- Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and every other weekend as scheduled.
- Experience in inpatient respiratory care or skilled nursing facility settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with the care team.
