Respiratory Therapist (Registered) in Carbondale, Illinois, on a travel temporary assignment starting 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the respiratory care plan within the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge; ensure understanding.
- Accept reassignment to other units when necessary to support patient care needs.
- Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; model sound clinical practice.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care; deliver care as ordered by the physician and maintain communication with medical and nursing staff.

Requirements
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Illinois license to practice as an RRT
- BLS certification
- NRP-MHC certification
- Ability to work nights and function effectively in an acute-care/inpatient setting
