Overview
Registered Respiratory Therapist needed for a travel assignment in Plattsburgh, New York. Specialty: Respiratory Therapy (Registered Respiratory Therapist). Start date: 06/29/2026 for an assignment anticipated to last 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,367 to $2,458 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: hospital-based respiratory care serving neonatal through adult patients.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to neonatal through adult patients, including ventilator management (Puritan Bennett 980/840, LTV1200) and airway support
- Conduct patient assessments, administer therapies, perform ABG collection and analysis, and adjust treatment per physician orders
- Document care in EPIC; manage medications via Pyxis; maintain accurate patient records and comply with hospital policies
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Provide support in the nursery and ER as needed; float to assigned units per department needs
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and equipment management; ensure proper alarm management and patient transport as required

Requirements
- Licensure: NY license, or proof of application with applied date (NY licensing may take 6–8 weeks)
- Credentials: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); ACLS, BLS, and NRP required; NBRC verification
- Experience: minimum 2–3 years of RT experience; neonatal/pediatric exposure preferred; EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required
- Education: graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Additional: ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting; flexibility for a minimum of every-other weekend and scheduling adjustments; ability to float to nursery and ER as needed
