Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques, per physician orders.
- Monitor patients on ventilatory support or noninvasive methods; assess response and adjust therapy per protocol; escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Perform bedside assessments and document care in the electronic medical record; communicate findings with the care team.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment (ventilators, NIV devices, oxygen delivery systems); ensure alarms are functional and equipment is ready for use.
- Educate patients and families about therapies, devices, and safety considerations; provide care coordination with nursing and medical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy colleagues to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to interdisciplinary rounds when needed.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Therapist with RRT credential; licensure verification required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute-care respiratory therapy experience in a specialty setting, or documented travel therapy experience.
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics.
- RTO (return-to-office) requests must be included at the time of submission.
- Availability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend; willingness to float to nearby facilities if needed.
