Overview
Registered Nurse – Urgent Care for a travel temporary assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY. You’ll provide urgent care nursing care to a full-spectrum patient population in a hospital-system urgent care setting in the Albany area. Start date is 08/24/2026 with an assignment lasting multiple weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,853 to $1,939, with guaranteed hours of 32 per week (alternate weeks: 32 hours and 36 hours). Shifts are 12 hours, with start times around 7:00 AM or 9:30 AM and potential evening coverage. Expect to float within the hospital per manager discretion based on skill set. Certification and residency requirements apply as noted.

Responsibilities
- Deliver urgent care nursing care across infant to geriatric patients, including triage, assessment, and disposition.
- Monitor telemetry and interpret ECGs/rhythms, with nursing judgment under provider orders; document findings and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments per standing orders and provider plans; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for efficient patient flow and safety.
- Document in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate with physicians, specialists, and care teams; assist with patient education and care planning.
- Support site operations by floating within the hospital per manager discretion, based on skill set and patient needs; uphold high standards of infection control and safety.
- Complete required pre-orientation modules and facility rhythm assessments; maintain compliance with Relias EKG and rhythm testing requirements.

Requirements
- NY RN license in hand at submission
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale required at start
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in urgent care/ED; travel experience preferred; 5 years current urgent care/ED experience preferred
- Skills: Telemetry experience; ability to interpret EKGs/rhythms; urgent care/ED assessment and triage; EPIC experience; preferred: trauma level 1 exposure and triage experience
- Education: RN degree; active licensure to practice in New York
- Compliance: NY license verification (Nursys), recent references, certifications, SSN/DOB required; Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing; facility proctored rhythm exam with ≥85% overall and 100% identification of critical rhythms (remediation available per facility)
- Residency restriction: Candidates with primary residence within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs, NY are not accepted; excluded counties include Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster
- Other: COVID-19 not required; flu vaccine required by 11/1 (exemptions submitted 2 weeks prior to start for approval)
