Responsibilities
- Schedule, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of a defined unit on the assigned shift.
- Oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care and regulatory compliance; serve as a resource, role model, mentor, and change agent for the department.
- Direct and supervise a team of nurses and support staff; ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, policies, and accepted nursing protocols.
- Coordinate services with other patient care units to ensure patient flow; provide direct specialty nursing services and patient care as appropriate.
- Assist the department Manager in achieving unit and organizational goals.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Requirements
- Demonstrated supervisory experience on a nursing unit or equivalent leadership role
- Ability to schedule and coordinate daily unit activities and maintain patient flow during the assigned shift
- Knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and unit policies and procedures
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills
- Capacity to provide direct patient care in alignment with the scope of practice when required
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment (8-week contract) and comply with assignment terms
