Overview
Registered Nurse – Stepdown, Nights (Travel) in Saint Louis, Missouri. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Weekly pay: $2,108–$2,234. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Setting: Acute care hospital unit focused on high-acuity step-down care (PCU/IMC) with adult patients; 29 beds.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for adult patients in a high-acuity step-down setting (PCU/IMC) with a 1:4 ratio
- Monitor and titrate vasoactive medications (e.g., vasopressors) and sedation per protocol
- Manage ventilator/vent-related care for tracheostomy and non-tracheostomy patients; troubleshoot alarms
- Handle arterial lines, interpret ABGs, and participate in invasive line care
- Support chest tube care and external pacemaker management
- Administer IV insulin drips and oversee related protocols; perform routine interdisciplinary coordination with RTs, PT, Pharmacy, Social Work; respond to rapid-response events as needed
- Document accurately in Epic; participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Active RN license in Missouri (or ability to obtain); pending license accepted
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months
- Trauma Level II experience; travel experience required; first-timers not accepted; previous charge experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
- Ability to work in a high-acuity Step-Down/PCU setting; willingness to float within scope to lower-acuity floors as needed
- Not eligible if located within 75 miles of the assignment (local candidates not accepted)
