Third (Nights) Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit!

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Procedural & Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (4HH East)

Sentara Heart Hospital - Norfolk, VA

  • $70.00/hr pay rate

  • Temporary Full Time

  • 14-week assignment

  • Night Shift

  • No benefits

Department Overview:

This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.

• Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork is a standard of the staff
• Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. At times, RNs could be up to 5 patients depending in staffing

Education

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • ACLS

  • NIH Stroke Scale

Experience

  • Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
