Registered Nurse – PCU (Travel) in Plattsburgh, NY, starting September 3, 2026 for a 4-week assignment. Weekly pay: $2,338–$2,449. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Work setting: hospital/acute care unit with PCU responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult cardiology and post-acute patients on the PCU, including telemetry monitoring and frequent assessment.
- Administer medications and drips per protocol (including insulin and cardiac/hemodynamic infusions) and manage IV access (IV starts and venipuncture).
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; document in the EMR (Epic) and communicate changes to the team.
- Respond to evolving patient conditions with critical thinking, including hemodynamic instability and need for advanced monitoring.
- Coordinate care for post-PCI/Stent patients, ACS/vasopressor or inotropic needs, and patients requiring frequent respiratory or neurovascular monitoring.
- Participate in a resource float model, rotating to appropriate units as needed to meet patient care needs.
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: NY RN license on file at time of submission; AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/PCU experience; 1 year in the specialty preferred.
- Education: Registered Nurse with approved nursing degree; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable).
- Skills: Ability to start IVs, administer and titrate cardiac/insulin/drips per protocol; telemetry proficient; able to work in a fast-paced acute inpatient PCU environment.
- Additional: Willingness to float to appropriate units as part of the float team; responsive to unit needs and patient care priorities.
