
Overview
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date 09/07/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,715 to $2,844 per week. Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed. Shift is a 3x12-hour rotating schedule. This is a hospital setting in a float pool; floating to central PCU units is required for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult PCU patients, including monitoring, assessment, and timely interventions
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and interpret telemetry and lab results
- Collaborate with cardiology, vascular, thoracic surgery, and other teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC) in a timely, compliant manner
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies, ensuring patient safety and quality of care
- Float to supported units as needed (e.g., hematology/oncology, orthopedics, med-surg tele, general surgery, neurology/SDU, neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN) in accordance with unit needs
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in the assignment state
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in PCU and/or cardiology settings; large trauma level 1 teaching facility experience preferred
- Cardiology-focused background including post-catheterization (post cath), STEMI, and structural heart patient care
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a float/central PCU environment; rotating 12-hour shifts; minimum every other weekend or as needed to meet unit/patient care needs
