Overview
Travel Registered Nurse – PCU in Olathe, KS. Start date 08/30/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Earn $2,003–$2,101 per week with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires floating to ICU and other inpatient units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the PCU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for adult patients
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient response, and manage airway support as indicated (BiPAP when clinically appropriate)
- Manage lines and devices as trained, including care of chest tubes and PICC lines, and perform independent lab draws per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team; call on own consults and participate in code responses as needed
- Document thoroughly in the EMR (EPIC); ensure accurate handoffs and continuity of care across shifts
- Maintain a safe, patient- and family-centered environment while adapting to unit needs and patient acuity

Requirements
- Active KS RN or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience with strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and the ability to draw labs independently
- Comfortable without a vascular access team; able to call on own consults and conduct own codes
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires
- Floating to ICU and all inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED) with prior relevant experience
- EPIC EMR experience or demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
- Weekend requirements: Every Other Weekend; On-Call requirements: None
- Credentialing expectations: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
