Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for a designated group of patients during the shift, ensuring safety and comfort after anesthesia.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process in alignment with the medical plan of care and input from patients and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional care team to coordinate timely and effective patient care across ages as assigned by the unit.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall care plan for patients and families.
- Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other licensed or certified staff according to competence and scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license in California
- PACU/post-anesthesia care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and provide care across age groups (per unit assignment)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the health care team
- Demonstrated clinical competence and accountability for patient care during a designated shift
- Education: completion of a nursing program leading to RN licensure
