Overview
Registered Nurse - Outpatient in Saint Helena, California. This travel assignment begins 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and a 3x12-hour day shift schedule. Work setting is a short term acute care hospital offering outpatient surgery and endoscopy services. The role focuses on coordinated nursing care within the outpatient/perioperative continuum, supporting pre-op through PACU Phase II workflows. BSN is preferred; active RN license in the state of practice, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for patients in the outpatient and perioperative setting according to standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect pertinent data, assess needs, develop and implement an individualized care plan, and evaluate outcomes
- Support pre-operative evaluation and perioperative workflows, including PACU Phase II, and assist with moderate sedation as trained
- Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, and other disciplines; maintain a safe, healing environment
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and documentation; delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing team members as assigned

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in the field
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS (AHA-PALS/ARC-PALS and AHA-ACLS/ARC-ALS) required
- Endoscopy experience and outpatient surgery/perioperative experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows and with high patient turnover in a fast-paced outpatient setting
