Travel Registered Nurse – Outpatient Thoracic Surgery
Lawrenceville, Georgia, with time split between Atlanta and Lawrenceville locations
Start date: 06/01/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 8-hour daytime, Monday–Friday (7:30 am–4:00 pm)
Weekly pay: $1,647–$1,717 per week | Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
Setting: outpatient thoracic surgery services in a multi-site outpatient program

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for outpatient thoracic surgery patients, including preoperative assessment and post-anesthesia recovery
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; monitor patient responses
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and drain management as indicated
- Assist with outpatient procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique and safety protocols
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and coordinate discharge instructions and education
- Document care in the electronic medical record; communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and the broader care team
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to AHA BLS standards throughout the shift
- Collaborate to optimize throughput and patient experience in a fast-paced ambulatory environment

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in outpatient thoracic surgery or a closely related outpatient specialty
- AHA BLS certification
- Ability to work across multiple outpatient locations (Atlanta and Lawrenceville) during the assignment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; ability to manage a busy ambulatory setting
