Overview
Registered Nurse - Operating Room, travel assignment in a hospital setting located in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week contract. Responsibilities
- Circulate in the OR, assisting surgeons and anesthesia team and coordinating the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during procedures.
- Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative phase, including positioning, monitoring, and infection control.
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment within the perioperative team.
- Ensure instrument counts, sterile technique, and readiness of anesthesia and surgical equipment.
- Document perioperative care and communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligible) and current certification to practice as an RN.
- OR nursing experience or recent perioperative exposure preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; capable of coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff.
- This role is represented by CNA; willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with CNAs guidelines.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Availability to start on 08/24/2026 and complete a 13-week assignment; able to work days (5x8) and stand for extended periods.
