Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – San Luis Obispo, California. This is a travel, temporary assignment in a short-term acute care hospital. Start date: August 24, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $537–$559 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 16-hour day shifts. The role sits within the surgical services department and involves perioperative patient care and teamwork to support safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff
- Maintain aseptic technique and uphold patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
- Safely operate, troubleshoot, and manage commonly used OR equipment
- Prepare patients for surgery, including safe anatomical positioning and preoperative assessments
- Participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and bedside nursing activities
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and access facility information systems as needed

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC) required
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience; OR exposure in ortho, neuro, and trauma settings required
- ASN/ADN or equivalent required; BSN preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
