Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $538-$557 per week. Guaranteed hours 40 per week. Shift 16-hour daytime shifts. Setting: short-term acute care hospital OR environment. This travel assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, assisting surgeons and the anesthesiology team
- Coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to support efficient, safe procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, including correct positioning and adherence to aseptic technique
- Monitor and document perioperative patient care, and participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure planning
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and manage tissue/documentation per policy
- Access facility information systems to retrieve pertinent patient information and support care continuity
- Maintain readiness for emergent situations, ensuring life safety and equipment readiness throughout the perioperative period

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- OR experience: minimum 1 year of full-time operating room experience; orthopedic, neurological, and trauma experience preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certification in ACLS and PALS required
- CNOR: preferred
- Ability to work in a high-stakes OR environment and adhere to aseptic technique; strong communication and teamwork skills
