
Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room travel assignment in Lodi, California. This 13-week travel opportunity starts on 08/24/2026 with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a 3x12-hour day shift. The position is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,038 to $2,163. This role requires an active RN license in California, current BLS/CPR, and at least two years of recent OR or acute-care experience. A BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated OR nursing care for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patients according to standards of care and the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, maintain sterile technique, administer medications and IVs, and manage equipment during procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulators, scrub staff, and other disciplines to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Coordinate care delivery, participate in turnover of OR cases, and promote patient safety and comfort
- Provide education and learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members; participate in discharge planning as needed
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff and others as assigned; ensure compliance with policies and safety standards
Requirements
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California); Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field (OR or acute care)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment; strong critical thinking and collaboration skills
- Other: Ability to work the listed shift and on-call requirements; eligibility to practice in California
