Overview
Registered Nurse – OR Circulator, travel assignment available in Newport, Vermont, United States. Start date: 06/29/2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $2,389–$2,406. Shift: Days. Setting: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. This role functions as the patient advocate and circulator in the operating room, coordinating care across preoperative and postoperative phases and requires taking call.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the OR circulator, coordinating patient care in preoperative and postoperative phases and ensuring patient advocacy throughout the surgical process
- Prepare the operating room, ensure equipment sterility and readiness, and assist the surgical team as needed
- Monitor patient status, document accurately, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to maintain safety and efficiency during procedures
- Participate in on-call coverage as required by the assignment and contribute to quarterly department education sessions

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)
- OR circulating experience or strong perioperative nursing background preferred
- Ability to work day shift with on-call responsibilities
- Eligibility for travel assignments and willingness to relocate for the duration of the contract
- Commitment to patient advocacy and safety in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Attendance at department quarterly education sessions as part of agency requirements
