Responsibilities
- Provide scrub and circulating nursing coverage in the ophthalmology operating room.
- Support procedures across cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics.
- Maintain sterile technique, set up instruments, and manage OR equipment for ophthalmic cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.
- Exhibit professional communication with the patient and family, and document intraoperative and postoperative details.
- Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends as assigned.

Requirements
- NY RN license (active) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience; level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired
- Ability to scrub and circulate in ophthalmology cases; experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR setting and support on-call responsibilities
