Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN) travel assignment in Polson, Montana. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $2,255–$2,355 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 5x8 days. Setting: a critical access hospital with OR services, covering Pre-op, OR, and PACU Phase I/II, plus Endoscopy.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across Pre-op, OR, and PACU (Phase I & II), and Endoscopy.
- Circulate for a range of procedures, including general, orthopedic (including total joints), ENT, OB/GYN (C-sections), GI/general surgery, dental, and ambulatory cases; maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
- Monitor intraoperative status, assist anesthesia, start IVs, handle specimens, and manage blood products as needed.
- Support obstetric surgery with C-section circulation; ensure adherence to universal protocols and time-out procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary, Interpretation Services) to coordinate care.
- Document perioperative events in Epic from pre-op assessment to discharge; maintain accurate and timely charting.
- Adapt to unit needs, with the ability to float within surgical services as required by patient acuity and workflow.

Requirements
- Licensure: active RN license in MT or a compact RN license accepted per posting.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS current and in good standing.
- Experience: minimum 2 years RN experience; must include experience in a Critical Access Hospital.
- Education: graduation from an accredited RN program; eligible for current licensure.
- Skills: strong perioperative clinical skills, circulating and sterile technique, PACU care, and ability to support Endoscopy procedures and conscious sedation monitoring as applicable.
- Ability to work in a perioperative setting with potential to circulate for C-sections; comfortable with on-call shifts and cross-functional collaboration.
