Registered Nurse – OR travel assignment in Rochester, NY. General OR unit (14 beds) with a diverse caseload including ortho/total joint, trauma, neuro/spine, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic. Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a broad OR caseload, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative handoff
- Assist with general, ortho/total joint, trauma, neuro/spine, vascular, thoracic, GYN/urology, and ENT procedures; support bariatric cases
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrument handling, and ensure patient safety throughout all surgical phases
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion as part of intraoperative care and line management
- Collaborate with the OR team, including anesthesia, IV team, PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Transport, and Unit Secretary; ensure accurate charting in EPIC
- Participate in call coverage as required; may float to related units to meet staffing needs

Requirements
- NY RN license active and in hand to submit; pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 3 years RN experience; travel RN experience required (internal note: may show 1 year, confirm with account manager)
- OR/Surgical experience in a fast-paced environment; ability to work in a 4x10 schedule with call
- BLS certification required; CNOR status to be confirmed with account manager prior to submittal
- Phlebotomy and IV insertion competencies are mandatory
- EPIC charting experience preferred or required; confirm with AM
- RTO: minimal; candidates with ≤10 days preferred
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
