Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Cardiac) travel assignment in Rochester, NY, starting 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,541 to $2,595, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 12 hours, days (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.). Setting: cardiac operating room within a perioperative services environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide scrub and circulate coverage for complex adult cardiac procedures, including CABG, TAVR/TAVI, Bentall, minimally invasive valve procedures, and heart failure support devices as applicable.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, perfusion, surgical teams, and other perioperative staff to ensure patient safety, sterility, and efficient case flow.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, manage instrumentation and equipment, perform instrument counts, and assist with positioning and patient care from pre-op through post-op.
- Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation, vital signs, and nursing interventions; communicate promptly with the surgeon and team for any changes or concerns.
- Support handoffs to the postoperative team with clear, concise information on case details, patient status, and anticipated needs.

Requirements
- RN license valid in New York (active)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Two years of operating room experience; level 1 trauma OR experience highly desired
- Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases
- Telemetry experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cardiac OR environment
