Overview
Registered Nurse – OR (Surgical) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 06/08/2026 with a duration measured in weeks. Weekly pay: $2,165–$2,273 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shifts: 4x10 Days. This is a travel, temporary assignment in a 14-bed operative unit within a hospital setting. Travel experience is required and local candidates within 75 miles of the unit are not eligible.

Responsibilities
-Provide perioperative nursing care as the scrub or circulating RN for diverse OR cases, including ortho total joint and trauma, neuro/spine, GYN/Urology, vascular, thoracic, ENT, plastics/microvascular, endoscopy, and robotic-assisted procedures (Da Vinci Xi)
-Assist with patient positioning, sterile technique, instrument handling, draping, time-outs, and specimen management to support safe, efficient case flow
-Administer and monitor blood products as needed; manage anesthesia-related activities in collaboration with the anesthesia team; ensure airway management when applicable
-Perform phlebotomy and IV placement; maintain infection control standards and universal protocol compliance
-Chart accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic preferred) and participate in rapid response, code events, and postoperative handoffs; float to other units as required

Requirements
-Active New York RN license in hand
-BLS certification; CNOR certification listed in the posting (CNOR preferred)
-Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
-Travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty OR environment with shifts that may be 9:00–7:30 or 11:00–9:30; call required
-Mandatory competencies include phlebotomy and IV placement; willingness to follow hospital protocols and time-out procedures
-Epic charting is preferred or required by facility
