Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients in a home hospice setting, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, diagnose care issues, and develop an execution plan to achieve outcomes.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; delegate duties and coordinate with the health care team.
- Collaborate with families and treatment teams; provide education to patients and family members; participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as appropriate per policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per policy
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the field
- Education: BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice setting in the Los Angeles area
