Overview
NICU RN – Level II in Olympia, Washington. This travel assignment begins 06/02/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital-level NICU. Weekly pay ranges from $1,739 to $1,814 per week. No guaranteed hours are provided. Shift pattern is 3x12 rotating (primarily days with some night coverage). This is a travel - temporary assignment in a short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct NICU Level II nursing care for neonates ≥32 weeks gestation, including stabilization, ongoing assessment, monitoring, and developmental care
- Establish and maintain IV access; administer IV antibiotics and manage parenteral nutrition (PPN/lipids) as prescribed
- Support respiratory care needs with short-term ventilation assistance; use CPAP/HFNC as appropriate; provide phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia when indicated
- Monitor for common NICU conditions (RDS, sepsis, NOWS/NAS, hypoglycemia, feeder/grower, failure to thrive) and respond to changes in patient status
- Document care in the electronic charting system; collaborate with RT, PT, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services; participate in transport planning as needed
- May float to postpartum for stable couplets (1–2 shifts of orientation provided) or to Pediatrics for bili babies only at a 1:3 ratio; no on-call requirement
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the applicable state; travel-ready with pending license accepted; quick-start preferred
- Minimum 2 years NICU experience; travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Certifications: BLS and NRP
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program; active RN license
- Ability to work in a NICU environment with willingness to float per unit guidelines
- Exclude locals: permanent residents within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel assignment
