Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry, Rochester, NY. Travel assignment in a hospital setting on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adults and geriatrics with cardiac disease, stroke, infection, PE, and pain. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,763-$1,922 per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. This MS/Tele clinical track emphasizes telemetry monitoring, cardiovascular care, and multidisciplinary collaboration on a 27-bed unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on the MS/Tele unit, focusing on telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement; manage peripheral IV therapy and line care
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor responses and document in the electronic health record (Epic)
- Recognize and respond to rapid response events and codes; participate in the rapid response and code teams
- Maintain equipment and patient safety, including bladder scanners, telemetry equipment, EKG machines, Lifepacks/defibrillators, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary) and participate in discharge planning; float to MS, ED, ICU (stable) and acute brain injury (stable) as needed

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; charge experience preferred
- Epic experience required for submission; pre-start modules required
- Floating required to MS, ED, ICU (stable) and acute brain injury (stable)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Locals: candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
