Registered Nurse – Med-Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) | Massena, NY | Travel - Temporary Assignment
This travel RN role is a Med-Surg/Telemetry assignment in a 25-bed MS/Tele unit within a Critical Access Hospital. Start date is 07/13/2026 with a multi-week duration. Shifts are days, 12 hours each (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) totaling a 4x12-hour schedule. Weekly pay ranges from $2,404 to $2,495. The assignment requires travel experience and includes floating to other units as needed. Pre-approved time off is allowed for one shift, and orientation is 12 hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele unit
- Telemetry monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- IV therapy: peripheral IVs, maintenance, and assessment; assist with central line care as indicated
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products; ensure accurate charting in Epic
- respond to changes in patient condition; participate in Rapid Response/Code events as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Unit Secretary, Interpretation services); adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license in hand to submit
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Experience: Posting lists 2 years minimum Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience; note: there is a conflicting 1-year entry—confirm with Account Manager before submittal
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Education: RN education from an accredited program; current NY licensure
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to float to related units as needed
