Overview

Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele (Cardiac unit) in Rochester, New York. Travel assignment beginning 09/28/2026 for Weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,188–$2,263. This 3x12 Night shift position supports a 19-bed MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting and uses the Epic charting system. Orientation is 16 hours. Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care for adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with cardiac diagnoses.
• Monitor physical status, interpret dysrhythmias, respond to rapid response or code events, and manage non-invasive airway support as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies; perform phlebotomy and IV insertion; monitor oxygen delivery and peripheral lines.
• Collaborate with patient care technicians and an interdisciplinary team (IV teams, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Float within scope to similar units as needed; adhere to unit policies, including weekend rotation and on-unit standards.

Requirements

• Licenses: Current New York State RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry or cardiac care; first-time travelers accepted; travel experience not required
• Skills: Dysrhythmia interpretation and management; phlebotomy and IV insertion; peripheral line care; oxygen delivery including nasal cannula and masks
• EMR: Epic experience required
• Scheduling and practice: Ability to work 3x12 Night shifts; every other weekend; float within unit scope; on-call not required
• COVID-19 vaccine: Not required per posting notes
• Education: Graduation from an approved RN program (education specifics not stated beyond RN licensure)
