Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele on a 20-bed unit in Rochester, NY. This travel assignment starts on 08/17/2026 and spans multiple weeks, with a 3x12 Night shift. The role places you on a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) track serving adult and geriatric patients, with typical cardiovascular and wound-care needs. The assignment features a non-guaranteed weekly schedule and requires in-hand New York RN licensure for submission. EPIC charting experience is preferred and may be required for submittal per compliance notes.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to adults and geriatrics on the MS/Tele unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and activate Rapid Response when needed
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, draw blood, and maintain peripheral lines
- Support wound care needs, including wound VAC management, and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV teams, PT, Respiratory, Social Work, Pharmacy, Radiology, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate care and ensure accurate EPIC documentation
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in-hand for submission; pending licenses not accepted
- BLS certification required; NIHSS certification listed
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN Med-Surg/Telemetry experience; first-time travel nurses accepted
- EPIC charting experience preferred (compliance notes may require EPIC submittal)
- Ability to work on a Med-Surg/Tele unit with potential floating to MS, ICU, or ED within scope
- Not accepting local candidates within a 75-mile radius
- RTO/time-off requests should be kept to about 1 week; candidates with RTO >10 days cannot be submitted
