Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele travel assignment in Newport, Vermont. Start date 07/27/2026 for a 13-week contract. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am), including every other weekend. This is a hospital-based travel role with potential float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg and Tele/PCU patients, including assessments, monitoring, medications, and treatments
- Function as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating care, delegating tasks, and supporting team members
- Monitor patients on telemetry as required and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Float to other units (ED, MCH) when needed, adapting to varying patient needs and unit requirements
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document accurately in the medical record and adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing
- Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
- Willingness to float to ED and MCH units as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 07/27/2026 and rotating night shifts
