Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: October 12, 2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,926 to $2,011 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights (1845–0715). Setting: a clinical, multi-unit care environment with floating to medical and surgical units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on medical and surgical units, including frequent assessments, medication administration, and documentation.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns per unit protocols; participate in the nursing process from assessment through discharge planning.
- Utilize Meditech EMR for charting, medication administration records, and essential order entry; manage skills such as wound vacs, chest tubes, and Pyxis usage.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and support transitions between units as needed.
- Maintain professional standards, uphold infection control practices, and adhere to unit-specific policies and dress code.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date; travelers not yet licensed in Hawaii must apply upon acceptance of offer and obtain licensure by start.
- Certification: BLS required; ACLS preferred; additional certifications (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC) as opportunities arise.
- Experience: 2–10 years of Med Surg nursing experience.
- Floating to Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (rare occasions) as needed.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1845–0715) and comply with unit orientation requirements.
- Orientation: Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health checks.
