Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessments, interventions, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and comprehensive treatments per care plans; monitor for adverse effects
- Document care in the medical record and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and infection control; provide patient and family education
- Participate in rounds, coordinate care transitions, and support a positive patient experience

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or a compactlicensing state
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital medical-surgical experience
- Ability to float within scope to ED as needed
- Weekend requirements: 2 weekends per month; On-call: 1 shift per month
- Orientation: Monday virtual orientation, weekly
