Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 08/31/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,945–$1,980 per week. Shift: Days; schedule may include varying shift lengths and days. Work setting: hospital/acute care. Active Hawaii RN license required by start. No guaranteed hours. Orientation in the first week; arrival the Thursday before start for employee health requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide Med/Surg nursing care for adult patients aged 18 and older
- Assess patients, plan and implement care, document using the Meditech EMR
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support discharge planning
- May float to related units such as surgical, pediatric, or transitional care as needed
- Maintain patient safety and comfort with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; manage wound care needs (e.g., wound vac) and chest tubes; utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of Med/Surg or higher-level care experience
- Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg setting and to float to related units as needed
- Eligible to practice in Hawaii; capable of detailed patient assessment and documentation
