Overview
Registered Nurse (Med Surg) travel assignment in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Start date: 08/30/2026. Duration: 6 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,931–$2,044. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: hospital.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, initiate nursing interventions, and reassess patient status on the Med Surg unit.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition; identify and report abnormal findings; respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, oxygen, blood products, and other treatments; operate infusion pumps and document accurately in the Cerner EMR.
- Document all assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education in Cerner; use Care Compass to organize workflow and documentation.
- Provide patient and family education on disease processes, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, effective, and continuous care; transfer care using SBAR when appropriate; maintain infection prevention practices and patient privacy.

Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years of Med Surg or ER experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Cerner EHR/EMR experience
- BLS certification (AHA); ACLS and PALS certifications required or planned to complete within 3 months
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and adapt to a fast-paced environment
