- Note: Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will receive a $10/hour lower local rate

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical‑surgical patients under the supervision of the Unit Director, following the Maine Board of Nursing standards and unit policies.
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and carry out treatments, including telemetry monitoring as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans; participate in handoffs and care coordination.
- Assist with activities of daily living, wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures to support patient safety, comfort, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to infection control, safety, and quality protocols; respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

Requirements
- Current Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; strong communication and teamwork skills; able to multitask

- Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
- Facility cancellation: up to 3 shifts may be canceled during the 13-week contract
- Local rate note: travelers within 50 miles of the facility receive a $10/hour lower local rate
