Overview
Registered Nurse (Med Surg) in Janesville, Wisconsin. Start date 07/28/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week on the Nights shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,814 to $1,890 per week. This role primarily serves an Adult Surgical Unit with a few Pediatric beds. Travel nurses may float to other units as needed, and every-other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to care for adult surgical patients; support a small number of pediatric beds as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws.
- Document care accurately and completely; develop and initiate a patient-centered plan of care in coordination with physicians and hospital policy.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and discharge planning; provide ongoing instruction as part of the care plan.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities; contribute to the patient’s longitudinal plan of care across units.
- Demonstrate critical thinking related to patient safety and experience; escalate concerns promptly through the appropriate chain of command; may float to other units as required.

Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license
- Current NIHSS certification
- CPR/BLS certification
- Education verification required
- Med Surg nursing experience or recent adult surgical unit experience preferred; ability to float to other units as needed
- Able to work nights and meet assignment start/end dates as described
