Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel) – Med/Surg specialty
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Start date: 08/02/2026
Duration: 13 weeks (weekly contract)
Weekly pay: $1,603.00–$1,692.00 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Day shift, 12x3 (12-hour shifts, three days per week)
Setting: Acute care inpatient Med/Surg with overflow oncology beds
This assignment is a travel - temporary position staffed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

- No RTO allowed during the assignment
- Common patient mix: general Med/Surg, overflow oncology

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit, including monitoring and reassessment
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management per orders
- Perform wound care, dressings, catheterization, and routine skilled procedures
- Document care and observations in EPIC accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and safety measures
- Ensure patient safety, fall prevention, infection control, and adherence to protocols
- Complete shift handoffs with clear, concise information to the oncoming team

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license; Nursys license verification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg (general) nursing experience
- Certification Card(s) appropriate for the role (current nursing certifications as applicable)
- EPIC experience or demonstrated ability to learn EPIC quickly
- Education: graduate from an accredited nursing program; eligible for licensure in the applicable jurisdiction
- Ability to work day shift on a 12x3 schedule and to meet the demands of an inpatient Med/Surg setting
