Registered Nurse, Med Surg | Hilo, Hawaii, US | Start date 08/10/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $1,828–$1,907 per week | Night shift | inpatient medical-surgical unit with 77 beds

Key Highlights

- Start date: 08/10/2026; orientation week; 36 hours per week after orientation
- Assignment setting: inpatient med-surg unit with potential float to Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit

- Onboarding notes: arrive the Thursday before start for employee health clearance; can work various shift lengths and days

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Monitor vital signs, detect changes in patient condition, and respond promptly to emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; assist with wound care and chest tubes as needed
- Document using Meditech EMR; manage unit inventory and bedside Pyxis activities; coordinate with pharmacy and other care teammates
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds and discharge planning, and provide patient and family education
- Uphold patient safety, comfort, infection control, and unit policies; adapt to fluctuating workflow and coverage needs

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license by start of assignment
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2–10 years of med-surg RN experience
- Ability to work night shift; flexible to varying shift lengths and days
- May float to Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit as needed
- Must arrive Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance
