Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY. Unit: Medical-Surgical (D3) within a regional health system. Start date: 07/06/2026. Duration: travel assignment for several weeks. Shift: Nights (3x12). Weekly pay: $1,826–$1,878 per week. Setting: hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit with EPIC charting required. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients on the D3 unit, including monitoring, assessment, and timely interventions
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and operate standard medical equipment per unit protocol
- Document accurately in EPIC and maintain thorough and compliant patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and care team to develop and update care plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition, escalate to the appropriate provider, and participate in rapid response as needed
- Support safe patient turnover, discharge planning, and patient/family education within scope of practice
- Adhere to unit policies, infection control standards, and patient safety practices; complete required RN modules on schedule

Requirements
- Active New York RN license required at submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Med/Surg nursing experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- EKG competency: Relias EKG exam to be completed within 72 hours of signing; onsite EKG pass with threshold (typically 85%) required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required for flu season with exemptions considered per policy
- Ability to float within scope of practice and adapt to 1:5 or 1:6 night shift ratios; reliable for assignment timelines
- Local radius restrictions apply; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Saratoga
