Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Oncology)Travel assignment in Utica, NY. This 13-week assignment begins 07/06/2026 with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 nights. Weekly pay range: $2,127–$2,328. Setting: hospital-based medical-surgical unit focusing on oncology support and related care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adult Med Surg and Oncology patients, including monitoring, assessment, and care planning.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV fluids and supportive treatments; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Document care in EPIC EMR and communicate changes in patient status to the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; coordinate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinicians.
- Support infusion/chemotherapy activities as credentialed and assigned; ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition; participate in rounding and care coordination, including symptom management and escalation as needed.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification on file; ability to maintain licensure and provide all RN licenses as required.
- Education: Nursing degree (RN); current licensure to practice in New York.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy Certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Oncology experience; travel experience preferred and documented.
- Skills/credentials: EPIC EMR experience; patient care across oncology, hematology, and general medicine; ability to float to related units as needed.
- Other: Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics; up-to-date resume including 2+ years MS/Oncology experience; TRAVEL experience required; RTO (Time Off) requests must be included at submission.
