Registered Nurse - Obstetrics (OB) in Atlantic, IA | Start date 08/10/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,152-$2,262 per week | Guaranteed hours 36 per week | Nights shift | Hospital setting focused on labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery with occasional float to med-surg when OB census is low.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, postpartum, and recovery units
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, document findings, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management per policy; assist with obstetric procedures as needed
- Support newborn care with initial assessments, stabilization, and parent education
- Float to med-surg areas when OB census is low; prioritize safety, effective triage, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the health care team; maintain accurate documentation and infection control practices

Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice corresponding to the assignment)
- Ability to work nights and participate in every-third-weekend schedule
- Experience in obstetrics nursing or a demonstrated ability to support OB units (preferably 1 year)
- Capacity to float to med-surg and adapt to fluctuating patient needs
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
